Dr. Francis M. Karanja

Dr. Francis Karanja is the Africa and Asia DC Cluster Head responsible for all African markets in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia DC markets (a total of 38 countries). He has a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine from Hibernia College, Ireland. He is also a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA). He has been in GSK for 22 years where he has gained vast experience in various roles from Sales, Clinical operations, Quality, PV and Medical affairs to Regulatory Affairs and he is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Francis is passionate about inclusion and diversity in the workplace, harmonization of regulatory guidelines across Africa, strengthening of Regulatory Agencies while being focused on simplification for the benefit of the patient.
