World Anti-counterfeit Day 2026 Luncheon
KAPI joined the Anti-Counterfeit Authority – Kenya and other key stakeholders at a luncheon concluding a week-long anti-counterfeit campaign. The engagement focused on practical measures to protect legitimate supply chains through information sharing, digital authentication tools and joint enforcement. KAPI reaffirmed its commitment to supporting ACA initiatives that safeguard Kenya’s healthcare ecosystem against illicit trade.
Launch of the National Action Plan on Substandard & Falsified Medical Products
KAPI joined the Ministry of Health, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, law enforcement and development partners for the official launch of the National Action Plan on Substandard and Falsified Medical Products. This national framework is designed to prevent, detect and respond to illicit medical products through coordinated regulation, surveillance and enforcement.
National Industrialization Policy Stakeholder Roundtable
KAPI contributed key industry perspectives during the high-level stakeholder roundtable on the development of Kenya’s National Industrialization Policy. Discussion centred on establishing the pharmaceutical and health technology sector as a priority value chain within national economic planning. Key advocacy points included sustainable sector financing, streamlined raw material importation and improved market access.
