Engagement with the British High Commission and British Chamber of Commerce
KAPI convened with key public and diplomatic partners to address the growing risk of counterfeit and falsified health products. The forum addressed key industry challenges including fragmented enforcement, porous borders, limited consumer awareness and gaps in digital surveillance. Stakeholders committed to strengthening joint enforcement mechanisms and raising awareness on the severe health risks of counterfeit health products.
Bilateral Engagement with the Embassy of Ethiopia
KAPI leadership also met with the Embassy of Ethiopia in Kenya to discuss bilateral healthcare trade and Ethiopia’s ongoing regulatory transformation. Discussions focused on Ethiopia’s rollout of serialization, track-and-trace and data aggregation systems to secure supply chains and combat falsified products. The meeting also formally established a direct dialogue channel between industry and diplomatic stakeholders, emphasizing the need for structured consultation and investment to ensure sustainable regulatory efforts.
